Marguerite 1606's exceptional brunch at Domaine Reine Margot

We're off to the Domaine de la Reine Margot, just outside Paris, to discover the Marguerite 1606 Sunday brunch. Imagine an invitation to indulge in a luminous, lush setting steeped in history. Every Sunday, from 12pm to 3pm, this brunch combines delicate flavors with moments of relaxation, less than four minutes from the Mairie d'Issy metro station.

There's a choice between a 70€ Formule Brunch and a 90€ Formule Brunch Festif, the latter accompanied by a refined glass of champagne. The menu begins with a choice of hot beverage and pressed juice, accompanied by an invigorating detox shooter. Then comes the Bouchées Marguerite, the restaurant's specialty, which brings back the bouchées à la Reine (a reference to Queen Marguerite, as you'd expect). With their finesse and perfect puff pastry, these mouthfuls with seasonal vegetables and truffles are a pleasure to eat.

Among the must-tries are a variety of eggs, including eggs Benedicte, customizable omelettes, avocado toast and Scottish smoked salmon, as well as more elaborate offerings like the bruschetta with tomato confit or the beef tataki with pesto, which we loved. Sweet tooths are not left out, with choices such as the acai bowl and pancakes with maple syrup.

The all-you-can-eat sweet and savory buffet is a real brunch highlight, offering a variety of cooked dishes, from salads to original club sandwiches, not to mention cheese and charcuterie platters, and savory tarts.

The sweet side delights the palate with exquisite pastries such as the famous Paris-Brest, panacotta and pecan cookies, guaranteeing a taste experience as rich as it is varied.

The dining room, bathed in light thanks to a magnificent glass roof, creates a welcoming, luminous atmosphere, perfectly in tune with the verdant setting of the Domaine de la Reine Margot. This historic venue, combining old-world charm and modern architecture, boasts a terrace with a view of a listed garden and the Eiffel Tower in the background, which is not something we dislike. On sunny days, there's plenty to enjoy in this garden with a view.

This gourmet brunch is aimed at both hotel guests and out-of-town visitors, providing an enchanting break at the gateway to Paris. Got kids? Don't worry, a €40 Kids Club also ensures a pleasant moment for the youngest, with dedicated entertainment. So parents can take it easy at the same time.

In short, if you want to get out of Paris for a while, but not too much, and discover a charming, historic setting, this is a great way to treat yourself on a Sunday in an enchanted setting. We also recommend a visit to the unusual Bar Monastic, housed in the chapel.
