The Sir Winston Churchill, one of the oldest pubs in the capital, gets a makeover and evolves into a spicy dining spot, halfway between the English pub and Indian dining made in London, in a décor by Laura Gonzalez.
On the culinary front, it’s chef Manoj Sharma (Desi and MG Road) steering the ship. Open round the clock, the venue welcomes you from morning to night to tuck into a fish & chips, sip a craft beer on the terrace, or savor a naan with a curry that’s got a stylish twist.
The great English pub classics (scotch eggs and other cheddar croquettes) sit alongside Indian-inspired dishes, the signature of chef Manoj Sharma, such as the madras club crab and cod cakes or the crispy gunpowder calamari with an ultra-fresh mint sauce.
On the drinks menu, alongside the craft beers, you’ll find excellent bottles of wine, as well as cocktails and mocktails, and quality whiskies to savour across the Sir Winston’s spaces—from the cozy wagon-salon to the lush winter garden, including the basement that houses a secret bar.
