Fans of electro music? Want to party in an unusual setting? Just imagine an evening in the heart of a historic monument that's an essential part of France's history. Actually, no, don't imagine it, it's a reality: it's Versailles Electro!
This evening usually kicks off at 8:30 PM on the Versailles Castle esplanade. For this special occasion, the castle's terraces are transformed into a massive dancefloor, thanks to several notable artists from the French electronic scene. Last year, Bob Sinclar headlined the event, while previous editions featured acts like Bon Entendeur, Kavinsky, Radio Cargo, and Nathalie Duchene. For this sixth edition, the lineup includes Folamour, Cerrone, and Dabeul.
While the festival's setting is clearly designed to draw crowds, here are a few tips to keep in mind before you arrive. During our visit to the fifth edition, the food court offered a tempting selection of eats, but there was no seating to enjoy your meal. The only options were the steps or the gravelly ground—quite messy—since sitting on the grass was not permitted.

Seating was exclusively reserved for VIP tickets; otherwise, be prepared to stand or bring a chair or cushion to sit on, and dress comfortably—wear something you don’t mind getting a little dirty. There’s no coat check, so pack light. As for the bars, they are positioned on either side of the stage. If one line seems too long, try the other side for quicker service.
Finally, don't forget that at the end of the evening, a fireworks display brings the spectacle to a close. Contrary to what some might think, the fireworks aren’t set off on the stage itself but rather across from it, above the Grande Perspective overlooking the Bassin d’Apollon. If you want a great vantage point to enjoy the show, it’s best to step back from the stage, so you can easily turn around and take in this stunning view. The fireworks display usually happens around 11:50 pm.
So, are you ready to party to great music in a one-of-a-kind, unexpected venue? Missing out on this extraordinary night at Versailles Castle is out of the question. It's a chance to experience a celebration fit for the Sun King... but in the 21st century! This year's event is scheduled for May 16, 2026, with ticket sales kicking off on Tuesday, January 27, 2026, at 2 pm!
