La Grosse Caisse, a dance bar with a unique convivial atmosphere in the 2nd arrondissement

"What we've been trying to do from the start is create a bar for friends," explains Jacques Belcberg, founder of La Grosse Caisse, one of Paris's most convivial dance bars. On the right is La Petite Caisse, "the little sister", with playlists mixing music from the 2000s, 2010s, French variety, pop... A playlist compiling classics and other timeless hits whose lyrics you're sure to know! On the left, it's the Grosse Caisse, with DJ Seb Morganatics on the decks every night, to keep you dancing until closing time (we've tried to leave the bar before, but it's impossible - we always finish until closing time, and you're likely to do the same, we warn you). At both La Grosse and La Petite Caisse, admission and evening events are all free, with no need for prior reservation.

Here, every Tuesday, you can take part in the Grosse Caisse blind test , every Wednesday in the collective karaoke... Or, even more festive, take part in the Facteurs or Full Flower evenings, the venue's hippy parties, with fluorescent lights, sequins and flowers galore! "We develop themes and host events for our customers," adds Jacques, who explains that while the concept of the place is based on a particularly convivial dance bar, it is above all particularly safe. Here, the teams (from security to service) keep a constant watch and make sure there are no problems: a promise kept, and it's a real pleasure to be able to have 300% fun in the evening.

In December, La Grosse Caisse celebrates its Hippie Christmas with Full Flower evenings every night, the week of December 12 to 16, 2023! For the occasion, a make-up stand (free of charge) offers accessories and make-up on the spot, with a great atmosphere, as we're used to here.

In short, La Grosse Caisse is the bar where you feel a bit at home, the place where you meet up with friends to dance, sing and enjoy... A place where you leave with regret, only to return the next evening.
