Le Charles, Hôtel Le Burgundy new bar

Le Charles is the brand-new cocktail bar of Hôtel Le Burgundy set in Paris 1st arrondissement. True twin of restaurant Le Baudelaire, this small cozy corner pays tribute to the poet and offers drinks travelling through time…

Travelling in time without moving from the French capital… This is what offers Hôtel Le Burgundy new bar, Le Charles, set in Paris 1st arrondissement and next to restaurant Le Baudelaire. A bar that pays tribute – like the restaurant – to the great French poet and author of Les Fleurs du Mal and offering a very regressive cocktail list since it makes us travel in time and history.

A signature cocktail list thought up and carried out by Barman Chef Jérémy Blanc through which we go, among others, back to Prehistory with the -500 000 (Zacapa rum, Drambuie, homemade laurel syrup, anis bitter Suze, dried lime, the whole smoked under a bell), as well as to the Industrial Revolution with the 1850 (Cognac, homemade vanilla syrup, Fair coffee liquor, flower honey, orange, homemade vanilla-coffee bitter) and even to the French Revolution with the 1789 (Guillotine vodka, imperial mandarin, Absinthe, yuzu liquor, pear juice and egg white).

Classic cocktails lovers are not left out since the place also has Negroni and other Old Fashioned served with Tapas. For those who’d like to pay a visit earlier in the day (cocktails are served in the evening), the bar offers a gourmet box featuring fresh produces made on order: seasonal Acai Bowl served with an Almond Latte, small plates of fruits and Alain Miliat juices, tartare-French fries or Caesar salad for lunch or how about one of the delicious pastries by chef Pascal Hainigue? As many dishes available all day long.

In other words, Le Charles is the perfect place to find shelter from your daily life and travel in time with your family, friends or colleagues. Shall we go there, friends? Or maybe we can remind you that alcohol abuse is bad for your health, please drink responsibly.
