What a local gem that deserves to be known. In Paris 12th arrondissement, between Daumnesnil and Michel Bizot, at the corner of two narrow streets, L'Osmanthe patisserie expects foodies to make them discover exclusive creations. This address is Fang’s fulfillment as she is a passionate pâtissier showing in her recipes a harmonious blend of French pastry and Asian flavors. And guess what? We love it!
Fang surprises us with classics skillfully revisited her way. Among our favorite creations, there are Symphonie, her ultra-tasty version of the opera cake based on matcha green tea, salted butter caramel and almond; her Saint-Honoré and sesame éclair, or her mille-crêpes in two recipes: green tea or praline chocolate.
These are delicate pastries, low in sugar, but with a nice balance of flavors that you can enjoy. You can also discover exclusive creations such as Fei based on green tea crémeux, adzuki (kidney beans) compote, coconut milk and caramel; Mini Tasha, an elegant pastry based on lychee topped with edible rose petal; and even durian cake that is inspired by trompe-l’oeil.
You get it, this is a nice spot worth the trip!
