Boteco, the 10th arrondissement's Brazilian tapas bar

Boteco is the Brazilian address of the moment in the 10th arrondissement. A warm tapas bar that takes Parisians on a journey in search of exotic notes and South American escapades...

Rio? Sao Paulo? Iguazù? It's hard to believe you're just a few steps from Paris's famous Bonne Nouvelle metro station .

If you're a lover of caipirinha, Amazonia and tapas, and you're desperate to get away from the gloom and doom...we've found the perfect address for you: Boteco.

Nestling on rue de l'échiquier, Boteco (which means "bar" in Brazilian) will intoxicate, transport and exhilarate you.

We'll never know whether this is due to the cachaça fumes emanating from the place, or simply to the delicious tropical ambience, but this first Parisian Boteco brilliantly warms the hearts of souls jaded by routine and looking for a little corner of escape at all costs.

It was in June 2017 that the Brazilian address opened its doors, inviting the curious and fine taste buds to escape to Brazil for a few hours (without passing through Roissy...).

Nicolas and Ricardo, the two acolytes behind this 100% Brazilian and Parisian project, have successfully met their challenge: to recreate the atmosphere of a typical Boteco with a refined menu, and a raw, plant-based decor with a false jungle feel.

" What we're looking for above all is to take the customer on a journey into the warmth and authenticity of Brazil, the opposite of clichés. Ricardo revisits Brazilian specialties with a French twist, and we squeeze our own juices from fruit imported from Brazil. Our tonka bean beer is brewed on site, and here, as in Brazil, we drink real caipirinha," explains Nicolas Delauche, co-founder of the restaurant.

On the menu? a bevy of homemade Brazilian specialties that seem to come straight out of a pulsating kitchen, mingling with the samba of the festival...Tapas da horta, da terra and do mar to die for, the mythical picanha or black humous beans & sesame, crab au gratin with coconut milk, not forgetting ceviche.

To drink? Liters of "caïpi " made with fresh Brazilian fruit, South American wine and exotic beer to unwind to the sounds of Bossa Nova.
