Head for Corsica without even leaving Paris thanks to La Serre, the new covered and heated spot in the Rotonde Stalingrad opened by the Gustu team, where you can savour and sip the best of Corsican cuisine.

We've already spoken highly of Gustu, the Corsican trattoria comfortably installed inside the Rotonde Stalingrad, but for winter, it's time to discover a new space taken over by Christophe Poligani, the cool Corsican at the helm of Gustu.

It's La Serre, a covered, heated spot to the left of La Rotonde, perfect for spending long winter evenings with friends, remaking the world while enjoying a delicious meal.

At La Serre, the idea is the same as at Gustu: to introduce Parisians to the very best of Corsican gastronomy. On the menu, you'll find 100% Corsican finger food, to share (or not!): Corsican hummus with homemade bread baked over a wood fire (9€), Regina di Mare sardines with citron or nepita (Corsican wild mint), of course, generous boards of Corsican charcuterie and cheeses (10-18€), or Gustu's now-famous rotolino, braided pizzas!

Let's face it, we love cheese, and the wood-roasted camembert di bufala with Corsican PDO honey (14€) really caught our eye. And what a delight!

As for drinks, we're staying in Corsica with delicious Corsican beers (try them all, they're all very different!), organic and natural Corsican wines and cocktails made from Corsican liqueurs and syrups, of course!

What's more, if you want to leave La Serre with Corsican products, it's easy: a beautiful grocery store awaits you at the back of the premises, offering the crème de la crème of artisanal products from the Isle of Beauty: AOP Corsican honey from Pierre Carli in Patrimonio, organic dried wild herbs from Isabelle Orsi in the village of Rogliano, olive oil from Oltremonti mill, jams and sauces from artisan chef Jean-Michel Querci, preserved sardines... The list goes on and on!

Last but not least, it's impossible to enter La Serre without being immediately lulled by the delicious smell of pizzas and attracted by the gleaming mosaic oven that sits behind the counter in the kitchen. Here, pizzas are baked over a wood fire .

Three choices on the menu: La Quale Hé? (€10: Tomato sauce, mozzarella fior di latte, extra virgin olive oil, fresh basil), La Pinzuta! (12€; Tomato sauce, herb-grilled porchetta, mozzarella fior di latte, button mushrooms, extra virgin olive oil, fresh basil) and finally La Goffa! (12€; Cream base, gorgonzola, Corsican tomme, mozzarella fior di latte, smoked scamorza, basil and Modena balsamic cream): guaranteed food porn!
