Let’s move to Corsica without even leaving Paris thanks to La Serre, the new covered and heated spot by Rotonde Stalingrad, created by Gustu team where you can enjoy and sip the best of Corsican food.

We already told you all the good we thought about Gustu, the Corsican trattoria comfortably set within Rotonde Stalingrad, but for this winter, it’s now time to discover a new space taken over by Christophe Poligani, the charming Corsican man running Gustu.

It’s La Serre, a covered and heated spot set on the left of the Rotonde, perfect to enjoy long winter nights with friends, putting the world to rights while enjoying good food.

Because at La Serre, the idea is the same as Gustu’s: making you all discover the best of the Corsican food. On the menu, we have 100% Corsican finger food to share (or not!)! Corsican hummus with homemade break cooked over fire (€9), Regina di Mare sardines with citron or nepita (wild Corsican mint), of course you also have hearty boards of Corsican cold cuts and cheeses (€10-18) and the now famous rotolino de Gustu, braided pizzas!

Let’s be honest, we love cheese and the camembert di bufala roasted over wood fire and PDO Corsican honey (€14) did eye at us. And it was pure heaven!

Moving on to drinks, we stay in Corsica with delicious Corsican beers (try them all, they are all very different!), organic and natural Corsican wines and cocktails based on spirits and Corsican syrups, of course!

By the way, if you want to leave La Serre with Corsican produces, there’s nothing simpler: a beautiful delicatessen expects you in the back and uncovers the best of Corsican craft products: DPO Corsican honey by Pierre Carli in Patrimonio, dried wild and organic herbs by Isabelle Orsi from the village of Rogliano, olive oil from the Moulin Oltremonti, jams and sauces by artisan and chef Jean-Michel Querci, preserved sardines and so on!

And you can’t walk through La Serre without being lulled by the nice smell of pizzas and attracted by the gleaming mosaic oven standing in the kitchen, behind the counter. Here, pizzas are cooked over wood fire.

On the menu, three choices, La Quale Hé?! (€10: tomato sauce, mozzarella fior di latte, extra virgin olive oil, fresh basil), La Pinzuta! (€12: tomato sauce, grilled porchetta with herbs, mozzarella fior di latte, button mushrooms, extra virgin olive oil, fresh basil) and La Goffa! (€12: cream, gorgonzola, Corsican tomme, mozzarella fior di latte, smoked scamorza, basil and Balsamic di Modena cream): food porn coming up!
