Sin Ko, Latin-Asian cuisine in Saint-Germain-des-Prés

Rue du Dragon, in the heart of the Saint-Germain-des-Prés district, welcomes a new restaurant: Sin Ko! At the helm of the spot is David Ly, who knows the area well since his first address, KBG - Korean Barbecue Grill, is just across the street from Sin Ko! And both restaurants share the same desire for fusion cuisine: French-Korean at KBG, Latin-Asian at Sin Ko!

The menu, which is small but set to grow in the coming weeks, includes starters to share, for greater conviviality: duck breast and orange gyozas with honey-spice sauce (€12), amazing shrimp and lychee gyozas (€12), plump teriyaki beef empanadas (€12). We go with our fingers!

And don't miss the minute smoked guacamole (€10), which arrives on your table still steaming. Good for the eyes, the nose and the taste buds!

Next, we're seduced by themiso-lacquered eggplant with vegetable jardinière (€20) and the Tokyo pop carne (€25), a sort of very, very destructured chili con carne with juicy, melt-in-the-mouth meat in the form of fried croquettes, all accompanied by a frankly delicious rice with vegetables, sesame and coriander.

But don't think that everything here is fried! Sin Ko also offers healthy dishes such as Poke Bun with tuna (€18) or fish ceviche with coconut milk (€20).

Successful fusion cuisine, with Latin inspirations here and Asian flavors and products there , takes your taste buds on a little trip around the world.

We end this road trip with the panna cotta (10€), trembling to perfection, and theroasted pineapple (10€), two successful fruity desserts.

Oh yes, Sin Ko also offers a small selection of cocktails (€12) at its upstairs bar and at tables on the first floor, which are also set to grow and are truly excellent and imaginative .

We tried the Bruce L. (gin, vermouth bianco, arugula, yuzu, simpe syrup, egg white), the El Pablo (mezcal, passion fruit puree, coriander, triple sec, lemon, tonka syrup) and the Natsuko (purple shizo infused pisco, lemon, egg white, nutmeg powder) and loved them!
