Pizzas, fresh pastas and love, what else could you ask for? Run to the Batignolles area to discover Gruppomimo in Paris 17th arrondissement. Inaugurated last year, this friendly and laid-back Italian restaurant has it all for tasty pasta and homemade baked Neapolitan pizzas fans.
Gruppomimo is the story of 3 associates: Edouard, Benoît and Pietro in the kitchen, mixing a lot of Italy, a bit of show and a dash of creativity. Already settled in the 17th arrondissement and Boulogne, Gruppomimo is not done having itself talked about since 3 more locations, more modern and wider, are expected this year.
In all locations of the group, enjoy famous popular Italian dishes, such as homemade and baked Neapolitan pizzas, risotto and pasta recipes cooked in a wheel of parmesan. At Gruppomimo, Pietro’s father intends to select the best produces of the country from his favorite suppliers and producers.
On the menu (careful, the menu changes with seasons and novelties):
So, the day we came, we had delicious fluffy focaccias topped with salmon and mortadella, burrata and pistachio. So good! And of course, do not miss the creamy and smoked Stracciatella.
It is hard not to get the famous truffle tagliatelle, prepared in a wheel of PDO pecorino with fresh summer truffle. Once plated, the waiter adds grated truffle over the dish. It is hearty and delicious if you like truffle.
Let us fall for the fresh pistachio pesto casareccia with Stracciatella and fresh pistachio. Firm, smooth, crunchy, this mix is divine.
Squid fans cannot miss the Poulpe Fiction with lemon, basil pesto, Stracciatella, pickled cucumber and potato. Crunchy on the outside, and smooth on the inside, and it is perfectly cooked.
As for pizza, the very thin bluefin tuna pizza is surprising. Crunchy and fluffy dough, cherry tomatoes and mozzarella to perfect it all, and voilà!
And do not leave before dessert as Gruppomimo has it all for sweet-toothed foodies. Fall for the moist chocolate-pistachio cake and vanilla ice cream, just delicious. The tiramisu is very indulging too, and the chocolate mousse with passion fruit is a go-to.
In other words, how about having a great Italian meal in the 17th arrondissement?
