Gamers in Paris have found THE place to go to give themselves over to their passion… Discover ESpot, the brand-new place especially devoted to gaming in the heart of Paris, rue de Rivoli, since June 2021. A 2,000sqm area giving pride of place to eSport and designed by Robin Leproux – former PSG director and former M6 TV channel vice-president.
ESpot is a “physical place where one comes to to get a drink, meet with other players, attend a competition”, he explained this past April to our peers from BFM Business. The goal is to make video games accessible to a public as wide as possible. The place provides many stations with consoles – PS5 and Nintendo Switch – to play with your family or friends, in pairs or in groups of four players, or more. Upstairs, there is another gaming area, identical, but featuring a VIP corner to play in peace or for events.
In the basement, ESpot takes on its full purpose: it has a television studio, as well as a 150-seat arena to host e-sport championships. And for players, 90 computers are available for a gaming moment with professionals or amateurs.
Please note that car thrills fans can enjoy a driving area created in partnership with Alpine F1 and offers them to climb up on the seat, take the wheel and drive the many F1 circuits on the big screen. An experience set on the ground floor we tried and really enjoyed: as for the gameplay it suits your level, depending on the features the place’s team offers. As for maneuverability, everything is extremely well calculated to provide an interesting immersion in the car racing world.
As for price, the place works a bit like VR centers with subscriptions or length-rate: “When a client comes to ESpot, they pay €5 for the admission fees. They can get a drink or 30 minutes of gaming. Then, they can recharge their gaming time by the unit, subscribe for the weekend or purchase 10 hours of game they can enjoy on any machine”, Leproux explained. As for parents, there is a special area with drinks and snacks at the entrance. And if you want to celebrate your child’s birthday, you can since the spaces can be privatized with drinks and cake, for a unique gaming time with friends.
A new place in Paris you have to discover whether you are into gaming or not!
