Stardust: the biopic about David Bowie out in theaters in 2020

South-African actor Johnny Flynn will be David Bowie in the biopic called “Stardust” expected to be out in theaters in 2020.

After Rami Malek as Freddie Mercury in Bohemian Rhapsody, Taron Egerton as Elton John in Rocketman or even Renée Zellweger completely transformed to play the legendary Judy Garland, let’s welcome Johnny Flynn as David Bowie!

Called “Stardust”, this biopic is said to be out in 2020. In the meantime, its moviemaker Gabriel Range has revealed that actor Johnny Flynn will be Bowie. The South-African actor already starred in “Genius” alongside Antonio Banderas as well as “Lovesick” or even “Jersey Affair”.

Also starring, Jena Malone who will be Angie – David Bowie’s first wife – and Marc Maron as Rob Oberman.

The movie – presented as a “return to the sources – should emphasizes on the debuts of the artist and especially his first travel across the Atlantic in 1971.

Note that the son of the British artist, Duncan Jones, has declared that the project didn’t get the family’s approval. Musical rights haven’t been granted.
