Professional and amateur pâtissiers unite! The biggest pastry show comes to Paris! For 3 days, covering 6,000 sqm, come along and enjoy the 5 available universes.
50 pastry classes, 200 exhibitors, 10 Master Classes, 2 official contests and some 50,000 visitors are expected for this first edition that sounds huge.
This Salon de la Pâtisserie aims at highlighting the talents of our artisans and the flavors from our terroirs. This is the occasion to create a bound between amateurs and professionals, to promote know-hows and new knowledges, as well as pitching in and create your own pastries as beautiful as tasty.
We’re promised a wonderful sensorial experience in terms of smell, taste and décor. Discover hereunder the 5 universes of the show to enhance our 5 senses:
L’ENFANCE – L’Origine des Saveurs / Childhood – the Origin of Flavors:
An educative and playful visit for kids, teens and adults including an initiatory travel to discover the gustative and sensorial wealth nature gave us and the pastry chefs brilliantly work to meet our needs.
This gustative journey offers visitors some wonderful raw materials delighting pastry chefs: wheat, sugar, fruits, spices, aromas, cocoas, dairy…
LA TENDANCE – Sweet Art / The Trend – Sweet Art:
This universe is dedicated to pastry art expression in all its forms: sugar or chocolate sculptures and pastry masterpieces revisited by great designers. To make it even friendlier and more welcoming, the great Parisian tea parlors present their collections of desserts and chocolates.
LA TRADITION – La French Touch / The Tradition – The French Touch:
A territory rich of pastry specialties and know-hows related to artisans’ ingenuity and creativity that has to be exhibited and celebrated in a dignified way!
A village with its public square and alleys welcome visitors with folkloric and gustative entertainments: macarons from Amiens, Broyé Poitevin, tuiles from Beauvais, Cannelés from Bordeaux… The whole in a merry atmosphere.
LES COURS – L’Atelier des Douceurs / Classes – The Sweet workshop:
In this area dedicated to transmitting knowledge and know-how, visitors can sign up to varied pastry classes taught by the trendiest and greatest chefs.
To complete this universe, tool, raw material manufacturers, gourmet booksellers are here to please pastry amateurs and passionates.
LE FORUM – Master Class / The Forum – Master Class:
Throughout the day, this universe hosts varied conferences about pastry:

- Scientific breakthroughs
- Trade mutation and development
Who hasn’t heard about Pierre Hermé? The king of the macaron, the inventor of the Ispahan, the Mogador, the “Tarte infiniment vanilla” or the “2000 feuilles”. By the way, for sweet-toothed foodies, he recently opened a tea salon in the Champs-Elysées called 86 Champs, an address you must discover as soon as possible. It’s naturally that the Grand Salon de la Pâtisserie organizers offered Pierre Hermé to be the ambassador of this “Great celebration of Pastry”. An honor accepted to share his expertise. He will preside the organization committee in collaboration with the head of the Confédération des Artisans Pâtissiers [Confederation of Pastry Artisans], Pierre Mirgalet. His instructions and orientations will undoubtedly be a key to the success and the quality of the show.
Today, French pastry is riding high. With pastries that are famous abroad and the many TV shows that give pride of place to our great chefs and our know-how, this event is likely to please many people. But pastry is first and foremost what we don’t usually see: thousands of passionate artisans, recipes galore and each region has its own specialty. Pastry also includes tasty ingredients, tools and decorations.
In short, to know everything about the actors of pastry available at the same place, we run to the new pastry show in Paris.
