The International Agricultural Show (IAS) will not be back in Paris Parc des Expositions Porte de Versailles in 2021. Because of the coronavirus crisis and the many restrictions, the legendary show - initially planned from February 27 to March 7, 2021 - is cancelled and postponed to 2022.
CENECA president Jean-Luc Poulain says in a release: "We are sad, but the reality of the pandemic makes that we all have to take responsibilities towards exhibitors, institutionals, teams and visitors, of course. We cannot take the risk of an event cancelled by the public authorities with the consequences it could have on everyone. We care too much about one another to try an event adventure that would only lead to disappointment".
As for the show director Valérie Le Roy: "The end of Februrary has been for over 50 years the moment in France during which a light is shone on agriculture. Unfortunately we cannot held the event in its usual form in 2021, but we will try everything so that this needed sector finds ways of expression at its right level".
Despite the cancellation and postponment of the edition 2021 of the Agriculture Show, the Ministry of Agriculture and Food, and CENECA - co-owning the contest - have decided to hold the contests of produces and wines in conditions to be detailed soon. Animal contests are yet postponed to 2022.
For the record, every year, the Paris International Agriculture Show is the place to be for all players of the agricultural world. Each year, at least 633,000 visitors, a thousand exhibitors and 37,950 professionals come to the show to discover and introduce to the agricultural world.
On the occasion, the agriculture show presents 4 universes:
