The Matter & Shape design fair is returning from March 6 to 9, 2026, for its second edition at the Jardin des Tuileries, running alongside Paris Fashion Week. More than 50 exhibitors will showcase over 5,000 square meters of iconic pieces and innovative new designs, set against a backdrop of two conferences addressing key issues in the world of design. Attendees can also enjoy a bookstore, a curated design shop, and a pop-up restaurant created by WE ARE ONA. Ticket reservations are now open on the event’s official website.

Calling all design enthusiasts and avid Pinterest users — Matter and Shape is taking over the Tuileries Garden from March 6 to 9, 2026, for its third edition. This event promises a unique showcase of contemporary design, coinciding with Fashion Week. With an innovative, cross-disciplinary approach, this hybrid fair, curated by Matthieu Pinet (WSN) and brought to life by Dan Thawley, blends industrial design, furniture, fashion, and decorative arts right in the heart of Paris.

As you've probably guessed, here, design isn’t just for show—it’s on full display! Over 60 exhibitors, ranging from renowned brands to emerging talents, will occupy two ephemeral pavilions covering 4,000 m², designed by JA Projects (an architecture studio based in London and New York), founded by Jayden Ali. From iconic pieces to cutting-edge experiments and hidden gems from young creators, this design fair serves as the ultimate moodboard for tomorrow’s trends;

This year, Matter and Shape embrace grandiosity and intricate details around the theme of "Scale." From micro to macro, monumental to infinitesimal: the exhibition explores scale much like a game of Tetris—playing between objects, bodies, spaces, and timeframes. It also pays nods to the manifesto S, M, L, XL by Rem Koolhaas and Bruce Mau.

The scenography, created by JA Projects and energized by Studio Costa-Molinos, plays with light to stunning effect: vibrant halos, sun-kissed gradients, and cast shadows turn the pavilions into immersive sanctuaries where style and commerce come together in a captivating dialogue.

On the exhibitor side, it's a global tour of design talent: Herzog & de Meuron, Georg Jensen, Mutina, as well as exciting collaborations like Ann DemeulemeesterSerax, Byredo x Iittala, and Lobmeyr x Luca Guadagnino. The French scene also shines with brands like Petite Friture, Axel Chay, Frama, and Completedworks.

The senses will also take center stage with Olfactory Signals, an exploration of fragrance as an artistic medium. Curious visitors and enthusiasts can purchase their entry badge directly from the official Matter and Shape website now. This combined pass also grants access to Première Classe, its neighboring event dedicated to fashion.

In short, in March, design takes center stage in the heart of Paris!
