For this new edition of Livre comme l'air, the intercommunal network of Roissy Pays de France has planned a variety of activities centered around literature and children's illustration. From March 11 to April 4, 2026, visit the media libraries and partner venues across the region (Val-d'Oise and Seine-et-Marne) to celebrate the craftsmanship within the publishing world, centered around the theme “To the Big Bad Wolf!”. Meet authors and illustrators and explore the diverse techniques used in creating illustrations for children’s books.
For nearly a month, immerse yourself in creative workshops, explore captivating exhibitions of original artworks, and attend spectacles that reveal the diverse worlds of participating artists—all centered around a creature as intriguing as it is unsettling in cultural history. Michel Van Zeveren, renowned author and illustrator, is this year's guest of honor, offering a unique opportunity to experience his humor, finesse, and his distinctive way of reimagining characters from the world of children's bestiary.
Learn more about the book-making process, from the creative desk to the hands of readers, promising you unforgettable literary moments! On Saturday, April 4th, the festival will cap off with the closing fair at the Pierre de Coubertin hall in Goussainville, featuring author meet-and-greets, readings, and signings. Check out the full schedule of the festival to find activities that are just right for your family to enjoy together!
