The Organizing Committee for the Olympic and Paralympic Games Paris 2024 unveils this Monday October 21, 2019 the new emblem following the one unveiled during the application campaign with the Eiffel Tower. A brand-new face that looks like a flame, a medal and Marianne.

Paris 2024 officially has a new logo. A year and a half of work later, the Organizing Committee for the Olympic and Paralympic Games unveiled this Monday October 21, 2019 the new face for the upcoming Paris 2024 Olympic Games. This is how the emblem creates a (gold) medal, the Olympic flame and Marianne.

For the first time in the history of the competition, the same logo represents both the Olympic and Paralympic Games. Consequently, it embodies the renewed visual of Paris 2024.
Moreover, it succeeds to the emblem with the Eiffel Tower, handy to promote Paris and France during the campaign. We owe the creation of this emblem to Royalties-Ecobranding.

In this mind, 800 runners have unveiled the new face of Paris 2024 at 8:04 p.m. (or 20:24). So, during the presentation event at Paris Grand Rex, the Committee president, Tony Estanguet, said he wanted to “mark the spirits” with this redefined visual identity. This explains the new simple and elegant typography, as a nod to the Art Décor period, mixing a gold medal and a white flame.

In the same time, it shows a female face, Marianne’s, who embodies the new visual signature of the awaited event. As a matter of fact, the choice of the three symbols can be interpreted in several ways. Yet, the message remains the same: more open games expected to leave a durable and indelible mark in History.
