In about a year's time, the Paris 2024 Olympic Games will land on our televisions and in the towns and cities of Île-de-France. Before that, the Olympic flame will cross the entire country and then the region for almost 80 days, covering some 12,000 kilometers, from May 8, 2024 to July 26, 2024. It will be lit on April 16, 2024, in Greece in the sanctuary of Olympia, where the first Games were held, before crossing the Mediterranean. Then, from Marseille to Paris, it will travel through 400 French cities until the opening ceremony on the Seine.

10,000 torchbearers will be selected to carry the Olympic torch in shifts, as it makes its way around Olympic venues such as the Olympic Aquatics Center in Saint-Denis and the Yves-du-Manoir stadium in Colombes. They will be accompanied by four captains, renowned athletes Laure and Florent Manaudou, Mona Francis and Dimitri Pavadé. Ambassadors and public figures will also be joining the Relay of the Flame, to share this unique and exceptional moment with the French: Jamel Debbouze, Marine Lorphelin, Thierry Marx and Thomas Pesquet.
The list is currently being updated, based on departmental announcements!
