"If one day I had to give my mother a gift, it would be to give her a restaurant. And if I had to choose a setting, it would be the Institut du Monde Arabe". It is now an accomplished goal for Jamel Debbouze. The artist has joined forces with Paris Society to unveil an address in tribute to his mother. It is on the roof of theArab World Institute that Parisians of a day and always discover Dar Mima, Fatima's house where you will be able to taste the secret recipes of Jamel Debbouze's mother in a flamboyant setting imagined by Laura Gonzales.
TheInstitut du Monde Arabe is the place that the artist made his mother discover during her first visit to the capital and it is also the place that hosted his very first interview. Today, it is a real Oriental Palace with a modern spirit that reveals itself to you, in this symbolic place for Jamel and Fatima Debbouze. The rooftop terrace takes us into a Mediterranean garden and no doubt attracts Parisians like honey attracts bees when the weather is fine.
Here, we eat at Fatima's table who shares with us dishes inspired by Maghrebian and Oriental cuisine, with must-try dishes such as Zaalouk for fans of Moroccan cooked salads, pastilla, tajine or the irresistible couscous, a favorite of the French. To accompany all this, mint tea is obviously part of the party in addition to a menu of cocktails with spicy flavors. Finally, at nightfall, Dar Mima becomes more festive with an oriental atmosphere with live music 3 to 4 nights a week.
