For European Heritage Days 2019 in Paris, the Musée Eugène Delacroix invites you to dive to the famous painter’s universe. Authentic place of life, his bucolic setting makes every visitor fall under its charm. These September 21 and 22, 2019, let’s make the best of European Heritage Days to discover this place, its story and its treasure.
Set in Eugène Delacroix’s former apartments and studio, this museum was born out of the determination of several main painters from the 1920’s. Maurice Denis, Paul Signac, Edouard Vuillard and Ker-Xavier Roussel, to name a few, wishing to create a tribute to this painter who triggered such admiration. This is how Eugène Delacroix’s former residency became a museum in his name.
For European Heritage Days, the Musée Eugène Delacroix offers you to discover the “Dans l’atelier, la création à l’oeuvre” exhibition telling you more about the painter’s creative process while discovering his studio and his garden all weekend long.
On Saturday September 21 at 4 p.m., the museum expects you in the garden to discover Eugène Delacroix’s early manuscripts staged by the students from the Conservatoire Jean-Philippe Rameau. An exclusive presentation in a green setting, what else could we ask for?
