This year, Paris Jardin d’Acclimatation celebrates again HOLI, the color festival on Saturday March 29, 2020. Facing the success met in 2019, the big festival is back this year for our greatest delight.
Have you heard of HOLI? This is one of the greatest traditional festival in India, and maybe the most popular one, the happiest and the most colorful! To celebrate the end of winter and the first days of springs, millions of women and men throw colored powder to each other, have fun, sing and dance with traditional music.
Created under the patronage of HE Mr Vinay Mohan Kwatra, the Indian Ambassador in France, and in partnership with the GOPIO (Global Organization People of Indian Origin) association, a fantastic program expects you this year again.
Remember, last year, Holi, the festival of colors welcomed children and adults in the Jardin d'Acclimatation for an exclusive and festive day paced by many entertainments: introduction to Kathakali makeup, henna techniques, how to wear a bindi, as well as dance and music shows to travel to Maharashtra, Punjab and Rajasthan, or even tasting of Indian specialties (cheese naans, samosas, chicken tandoori and lassis), without forgetting brass bands, and the great "The Color of Time" parade and the storm of colored powders!
Ready to see life through colorful-tinted spectacles? Meet on March 29, 2020 at the Jardin d'Acclimatation and stay tuned to discover the detailed program of this new edition of Holi, the festival of colors.
