If you live or work in the Gobelins district of Paris, you've probably noticed something strange in recent weeks. Look closely, and you're bound to come across one of the many giant teddy bears that melt the hearts of passers-by, young and old alike!

From the outset, there was no commercial strategy, and even less political message. There's just a desire to put a smile back on the faces of the many Parisians weary of their gloomy daily lives, thanks to the invasion of the giant 1.34 m teddy bears of Les Gobelins.

Since the end of October, the teddy bears have been on display in shops and terraces in this Parisian district, between the 5th and 13th arrondissements, in pharmacies, bookshops, wine shops, opticians... Each time in a different situation: at the table, reading, in the gym... They've set up their cuteness in the Gobelins, to our great delight!

Behind this crazy but brilliant idea is Philippe, a bookseller on Avenue des Gobelins. He buys the cuddly toys himself and sends them free of charge to local stores.

Today, the phenomenon is such that a Facebook page is dedicated to them. Here you can discover the famous teddy bears in a wide range of situations, some of them funny... You can also find out that you can spend 48 hours with one of the Goblin teddies. Simply send a message to lesnounoursdesgobelins@gmail.com. But beware of theft or abuse! The POGO brigade (Protection des Ours des Gobelins Organisée) is on the lookout.

What's next for these sweet and endearing teddy bears? According to Le Figaro, the " teddies have decided to hold a big meeting on the day of the galette des rois in a cinema to announce their next destination... Before coming back for a season 2!".
