Gourmets, good food lovers and fans of delicious products! The Rungis market – celebrating its 50th anniversary this year – throws the first edition of the Festival du Bien Manger [Eating-Well festival).

To discover from Friday November 15 to Sunday 17, 2019, the event is expected to take over the splendid Grand Palais for three days likely to be filled with good food.

On the occasion, the general public will be invited to follow a unique route where eating well will be the watchword. To do so, this 15000sqm market set under the Grand Palais glass roof will offer to the 25000 expected festivalgoers meetings with over a hundred chefs and exhibitors, as well as discovery workshops, demonstrations and masterclasses and even a selection of over 300 fresh products coming straight from the Rungis market and available on sale!

To meet all your cravings, this uncommon festival will unveil five lines of business: Sea, meat, fruits and vegetables, dairy products and catering, horticulture and decoration.

In addition to the market and the 20 discovery workshops, the festival will provide a photo exhibition, a bookstore, a food court with bars, food trucks and other food bars without forgetting an area dedicated to children with a program of playful entertainments.

And to top it all, famous chef Thierry Marx will sponsor this culinary event. "This is the biggest wholesale fresh products market in the world, but it's first and foremost a food and economic lung that has a social and environmental impact, especially on the professional training to catering trades in terms of hiring, a topic dear to my heart" he has declared.

On the occasion, meet Thierry Marx on Friday November 15 from 7 p.m. to 11:20 p.m. for the opening night and on Sunday November 17 from 11 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. for his masterclass about "cooking, mastering movement and time".

Produced and organized by the Øconnection agency in partnership with the Marché International de Rungis, this festival aims at “celebrating the French culinary know how and art de vivre”.

Please note that due to a yellow jacket movement planned this Saturday November 16, 2019, the "Rungis au Grand Palais" event will remain open to the usual time opening from 10:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. and from 5:30 p.m. to 11:30 p.m. To make your visit easier, please pre-book and print your ticket via the online ticketing service and bring your ID. The access will only be open via the Alexandre III bridge. Due to the planned demonstrations, please also allow a longer transportation time.
