Planning to be out and about in Paris for the night of New Year’s Eve 2026? Good news: Île-de-France Mobilités, the authority responsible for transportation in Île-de-France, is once again offering a special program to ring in the new year. Night owls and partygoers across Paris and Île-de-France will be able to enjoy free rides on certain metro lines, RER trains, and Transilien trains throughout the night from Wednesday, December 31, 2025, to Thursday, January 1, 2026.
More specifically, metro lines 1, 2, 4, 6, 9, and 14 will operate throughout New Year’s Eve 2026 in Paris. The RER lines A, B, C, D, and E are also scheduled to run on that night. However, keep in mind that, depending on the line, not all stops and stations will be served.
Also note that transportation is completely free (except in airport zones) all night long, from 5 PM on December 31, 2025, until noon on January 1, 2026.
