Building on the success of previous years, the Parc Zoologique de Paris is relaunching its Silent Zoo events on June 27 and July 18, 2024. These Nocturnes are a little bit special, as they combine a visit to the zoo with DJ sets! The idea is to discover the zoo from a new angle, with music. But so as not to disturb the animals, the music is played with headphones on!
The evening kicks off at 7 p.m. in afterwork mode, with the option of enjoying a pretzel-based aperitif with beer or soft drinks in the zoo's foodtrucks and bar set up on the forecourt. And then it's off! Whether you're in a group or on your own, with friends or family, you'll learn more about this 14.5-hectare zoo, which was conceived in 1934 and today comprises 5 biozones that reproduce the environment of over 200 different species found within its walls: Patagonia, Africa, Europe, Amazonia-Guyana and Madagascar.
To do this, you can stroll through the zoo's alleys until 10pm, meeting the furry, feathered and scaly animals with headphones on. The program features 3 channels to alternate between, with 3 DJs mixing live and 3 different musical styles. It's up to you to choose your favorite station! There are also special events throughout the evening, including quizzes and games to learn more about nocturnal species such as bats.
After 10pm, the zoo closes to let the animals rest. But the zoo doesn't close its doors entirely! Until 1 a.m., the zoo's forecourt is open for dancing, lounging on deckchairs or eating out, all in good spirits.
