The Mer de Sable is the ultimate family amusement park. Nestled in the breathtaking setting of the Ermenonville Forest near Chantilly and Senlis (60), this amusement park offers fun for both young and old. In recent years, the park has been updating itself each season to keep attracting visitors. New attractions, new shows, and exciting events are on the horizon — the 2026 season promises plenty of surprises. Mark your calendars for the park’s reopening on Saturday April 11, 2026!
With its 45 hectares of sandy terrain, the Mer de Sable transports you to other times and places for incredible adventures in a new season. Explorers young and old will set out to conquer three astonishing worlds: the Valley of the Mississi'ptits, the New Mexico desert and the Colorado Canyon. When we say little ones, we mean children as young as 2 years old who can enjoy the shows and attractions. La Mer de Sable assures us that 60% of its attractions are accessible to children as young as 90cm, i.e. almost 20 of the 30 or so attractions on offer!
As you'll have guessed, La Mer de Sable is one of the human-scale amusement parks designed for small children, like the Jardin d'Acclimatation. It's a great place to take your first steps, although there are also attractions designed for older children.
It's a far cry from a thrill park, which isn't the target market, but there are a few attractions that will appeal to teenagers. Among the attractions for teens (from 1.20 m), Disco Loco awaits you in the world of Mexican Fiesta. 24 adventurers sit in seats fixed to the circumference of the disc, facing outwards. The disc moves along a U-shaped track, turning on itself. This year, the park inaugurates Silver Mountain, a roller coaster.
After opening new roller coasters themed around Wild Buffalo, the Sea of Sand amusement park continues to immerse visitors in the Wild West vibe with fresh themed shows. Discover the Legends of the Sea of Sand, featuring four iconic characters who share their stories and perform jaw-dropping stunts.
