This year, Easter weekend falls on Saturday April 8, Sunday April 9 and Monday April 10, 2023: at Le Bon Marché, the hunts are taking place a little early, to get a taste of chocolate even before this long holiday weekend.
At Le Bon Marché rive gauche, the historic department store in the 7th arrondissement, La Grande Épicerie is organizing its own life-size egg hunt, from 2pm to 3pm (departing every quarter of an hour) on April 1, 2023. The Choco Poule are said to have laid a large number of chocolate eggs (or others with a chocolate surprise inside), to be unearthed all afternoon by little hunters aged 4 to 10. At Le Bon Marché rive droite, the brand's newest store in the Muette district (Paris 16th), the egg hunt also takes place on April 5, from 2 to 3 p.m.
Whichever bank of Le Bon Marché you go to for the hunt: meet at the Grande Épicerie reception desk for the start. Each child sets off to explore the store with his or her own little basket, and then you can go home with some lovely chocolates.
On March 29, La Grande Épicerie welcomes Charlotte Toubeau, a pastry chef who reveals her pro secrets to children on how to make a chef's dessert for Easter: an all-chocolate hen's nest. With a pecan brownie base, vanilla ganache and chocolate vermicelli to make the nest, children can create the nest of their dreams for a Choco Poule. Two sessions take place, at 2pm and 4pm on March 29: count €25 per child to take part in this 1h30 workshop ( booking required). What's more, your children are under the responsibility of Les Récrés staff for the duration of the workshop, so you're free to stroll around for 1h30 and do your shopping in complete peace of mind!
