The Orchestre Lamoureux Baby Concerts welcome children aged 0 to 5 and their loved ones for 30 minutes of music. The 2026–2027 season takes place at the Théâtre de l’Atelier, Salle Gaveau and Seine Musicale in Boulogne-Billancourt.
The Orchestre Lamoureux already hosts concerts for adults, and has aimed to introduce children to symphonic music and music theory from birth. The program invites you to a 30-minute concert featuring a listening/singing segment and a dance segment! Each performance is unique, highlighting different musicians and composers: a perfect way for families to discover or rediscover classical and symphonic music together.
From the moment you arrive, the family vibe is evident: two-month-old babies in wraps, three-year-olds plopping down on the floor because they don’t want to move, a parking à poussettes... We’re right where we belong! If food is banned, water bottles are still allowed. Then the show begins! The lighting isn’t too dim to avoid disturbing the kids, and about ten musicians (or fewer) take the stage to open the concert.
“Above all, we didn’t want it to be a static concert, with children and parents sitting in the seats at Salle Gaveau. We wanted the children to be able to move around and freely enjoy their first concert experience,” say the members of the Orchestra. Babies are welcome to move around as much as they like throughout the concert, and even to make some noise! As for prices, the orchestra wants everyone to be able to attend its baby concerts, with children’s tickets at €10 and adult tickets at €16 for second-category seats or €20 for first-category seats at Théâtre de l’Atelier and Salle Gaveau. At Seine Musicale, tickets are listed from €10. Every audience member, even a baby, must have a ticket. So, shall we go and check out this baby-friendly concept?
