Anouk and the Blue Bird is presented at the Manufacture des Abbesses, in Paris’s 18th arrondissement, from November 21, 2026 to January 3, 2027. The story is geared toward families with children aged six and up, offering a year-end outing that explores fear, imagination, and the act of passing things on.
On Christmas Day, Anouk has to fetch a cheese platter and carry it down to the cellar. That ordinary little trip becomes a problem for her: she dreads the monsters that might be lurking there. Until now, only her grandfather Mehdi had understood this fear she hadn’t dared to share.
This year, her grandfather is no longer there. On the way to the village, Anouk meets a blue bird, the one from the stories he used to tell her. The family tales then become a central part of the girl’s adventure.
The show is by Marie Busato-Grueau, who performs alongside Louise Busato for the Compagnie Atout Bout de Chant. Shows run Saturdays at 4:30 p.m. and Sundays at 3 p.m. Six additional matinees are added at 3 p.m. during the Christmas holidays on December 22, 23, 24, 29, 30 and 31. Tickets are €12 for children and €14 for adults.
