The Afro-Caribbean Children’s Book Fair is moving to a new venue for its 11th edition: families are invited to the Tati Barbès building, home to the Union de la Jeunesse Internationale, in the 18th arrondissement of Paris, on November 7 and 8, 2026. Organized by the D’un Livre à l’Autre association, the weekend will showcase authors, illustrators and publishers of Afro-Caribbean children’s literature.
Sponsored by Grace Ly, the 2026 edition is built around the theme “The power of images: seeing ourselves, reading ourselves, dreaming ourselves!” The events and discussions focus in particular on the representations offered to children and the role images play in shaping their imaginations. The book fair has moved to a new venue; it was previously held in Clichy.
Picture-book readings, storytelling performances and workshops let families tailor their visit to their children’s ages. Among the events announced:
Admission is free with registration via the association’s ticketing page. Please note: Friday, November 6, is reserved exclusively for school groups; the event opens to the general public on Saturday. To plan activities for your family, check out our family outing ideas in Paris.
