The Paris Book Fair of 2022 offered attendees a completely transformed experience. After two years of cancellations due to the health crisis, the literary event shifted gears and rebranded itself as a festival. Mark your calendars: from April 17 to 19, 2026, the Paris Book Festival will make its fifth edition appearance at the Grand Palais.
Under the majestic glass roof, celebrate books in all their forms, in the place where they were born. In 1981, the Syndicat National de l'Édition created the Salon du Livre de Paris to showcase the variety of French publishing. The Grand Palais was chosen as the venue for this event, which has become a fixture in the literary world, before moving on to the Porte de Versailles in the 90s and the Grand Palais Ephémère since 2022.
Many authors, publishers, and booksellers will come together to celebrate all things books and reading, with comic strips as the spotlight guest! Additionally, filmmakers, actors, visual artists, and musicians are also invited to take part in this . The event will feature exhibitions, musical readings, illustration panels, signings, writing workshops, and much more.
Philippe Etchebest, Amélie Nothomb, and Judith Godrèche have already confirmed their participation. Exciting news: the Friday evening late night event where literature, culinary arts, and tableware come together to create a one-of-a-kind experience—blending flavors with stories from around the world. The schedule will be unveiled on February 25th on the festival's website.
Enjoy the fair and happy reading! Ticket sales open on March 10, 2026.
