The International Fair for Rare Books and Graphic Arts, a one-of-a-kind event, invites you to discover the world’s finest books—the oldest, the rarest—and you can even leave with one, since every budget is represented. From 4 to 6 December 2026, the Carreau du Temple will transform into a giant and original bookstore, offering illustrated novels, classic children’s literature, comics, and rare posters.
Around a hundred specialists in rare books and graphic arts, both French and international, will be on hand to share their passion and expertise with visitors. The luckiest attendees will leave the fair with extraordinary historic pieces, or books transformed into genuine works of art.
It's mainly an opportunity for people of all generations to admire a diverse literary and cultural heritage, like something out of a cabinet of curiosities. Some may even be transported back to their childhood when they see certain original editions. There will also be activities offered to learn more about the world of books, including demonstrations of the binding and restoration of a book or the presentation of the profession of bouquiniste parisien.
Tickets can only be purchased on-site, at a flat rate of €10 for everyone.
