Monument jeu d'enfant is back for a weekend of free activities for children: at the Château de Vincennes, there's a whole program to immerse you in the history of the monument, and meet its illustrious occupants.
Discover the way of life of the castle's inhabitants in the Middle Ages. Through tours and a series ofworkshops, young and old alike can immerse themselves in this fascinating period. Built in 1150 in the forest of Vincennes to protect the capital, this castle is one of the most important inFrench history, and one of the largest and best-preserved fortified castles in Europe...
Known for its role as a royal residence in the 14th century, the château served as a prison and was converted into barracks by Napoleon I. The fortress is still home to the Service historique de la Défense. In addition, the Centre des Monuments Nationaux (National Monuments Center) offers visitors the chance to tour the King's apartments, the Sainte-Chapelle and even the upper sections of the Donjon, in a restored version!
To explore this long history in a playful way, join the activities planned for this weekend of October 17–18, 2026. Note that booking is required: secure your tickets now so you won’t miss this festive weekend.
