On the very first weekend in July, Saturday July 1 and Sunday July 2, 2023, young and old alike are invited to the Jardin des Tuileries and the Studio du Louvre for two days of festivities andentertainment 100% free of charge and accessible to all. With Pulcinella, a commedia dell' arte character, and Polichinelle, his French cousin, you're invited to (re)discover the Jardin des Tuileries and the Studio du Louvre with your children.
This weekend's program is as festive as it is cultural, and you'll be spoilt for choice with puppet shows, creative workshops and visits to the Tuileries Gardens for young and old alike. This is your chance to try your hand at silk-screen printing at a workshop in the garden, take part in the creation of a pop-up model of the city of Naples, or make your own landscape postcard inspired by paintings in the Louvre.
This free weekend, a real good deal for families at the start of summer, is planned as part of the first edition of the Étés du Louvre, a multidisciplinary outdoor festival offering concerts, theater or dance performances, open-air cinema and family activities from June 21 to July 20, 2023. With family, friends or on your own, don't miss out on this summertime cultural festival in one of Paris's finest gardens!
Trained in puppetry by maestro Bruno Leone, French puppeteers Philippe and Geoffrey Saumont, who have carried the art of the guarattelle around the world from father to son for over 20 years, invite you to follow them into the jubilant, poetic world of Polichinelle and his adventures.
Take part in a traveling screen-printing workshop and leave with your own creation inspired by Warhol's Vesuvius.
With Vague Impression.
Jardin des Tuileries, 2pm to 6pm
Create a cardboard pop-up model of the city of Naples, an artistic and poetic work of art.
With Carton Lune
At the studio, 2pm to 5pm
