This round-table discussion examines the major mutations of contemporary globalization: is it in retreat, or is it being profoundly reconfigured? In a context marked by the fragmentation of trade, the rise of strategic rivalries and geopolitical tensions, how are states and companies redefining their positioning and margins for maneuver? And what about Europe? Can we reconcile aspirations to economic sovereignty with the imperatives of international cooperation? What place should be given to the fight against climate change? These are just some of the challenges we face as we think about the new balances in a changing world.
How far do our everyday objects travel before they land in our hands? What benefits do we derive from them - and at what cost - in a deeply interconnected world? This tour takes visitors to the heart of the mechanisms of globalization, through a participatory stroll through the museum. At each stage, key questions are posed to stimulate a dynamic debate in an open, friendly and caring atmosphere.
