Treat your kids to an exceptional creative afternoon by exposing them to a variety of visual and plastic arts. A solidarity, inclusive, and artistic day in support of Planète Enfants & Développement, at Communale Saint-Ouen.

“There is no greater revelation than a society that knows how to care for its children.” Nelson Mandela

On April 12, the Communale in Saint-Ouen will welcome the Super Céleste association for a day dedicated to giving children from all backgrounds the chance to create and dream together.

As part of the new Super Céleste campaign, which this year features Planète Enfants & Développement as the latest “star” in its constellation, the day will bring together children, families and artists around creative workshops and a collaborative artwork.

Around 500 places are being opened to accommodate 150 to 200 children.

The day is open to all children who register in advance, with priority given to children from associations supported by Super Céleste, as well as to families in the Saint-Ouen area and members of the Super Céleste community.

A day of art and community participation

Guided by around a dozen volunteer artists, this creative afternoon will invite children to take part in a variety of art experiments and discover their own talents.

Two complementary spaces will frame the event.

The Artists' Studio

Super Céleste's solidarity mural

The painter Marion Charlet, winner of the Art Collector Prize 2018 and the Colas Foundation Prize 2016, will lay down the groundwork for the background of a monumental fresco that has been deliberately left unfinished.

Throughout the day, children will add their colorful touches, giving rise to a collaborative work of art.

The Photobooth by Pierre-Elie de Pibrac

The photographer behind the project, winner of the 2021 Taylor Wessing Photographic Portrait Prize, will install a photo booth that lets families pose against a variety of backdrops.

Each portrait will be printed on the spot and signed by the artist, thanks to a professional printer provided by Canon.

The Collective Workshops Space

Six creative workshops will give children the chance to explore various forms of artistic expression.

  • Workshop 1 – "The Invisible Creature"

with Alix Waline, a muralist and designer.

A graphical exploration of suspended organic forms that converse in space.

  • Workshop 2 – The Little Paper Workshop

with Marion Pillet

Creating graphic images from cut-out paper, geometric shapes, and a range of textures.

  • Workshop 3 – “The Magic Word Factory”

With Alexandra de Lambilly

A collage workshop that blends words, newspapers and memory, inspired by the artist's practice.

  • Workshop 4 – Street art and graphic design

in collaboration with Les Ateliers Lamartine

Children will create either a graffiti-style urban backdrop or a piece inspired by the world of Yayoi Kusama.

  • Workshop 5 – Introduction to pottery

with Capucine Paindavoine

A look at the craft of shaping clay.

  • Workshop 6 – "Customize your cap!"

featuring Anna Kieliszczyk

Caps and keychains customized with fabrics and decorative elements.

The workshops will run from noon to 4:45 p.m.

An ideal outing for families, set in a venue that also hosts municipal entertainment and offers a variety of on-site dining options.

At 4:45 p.m., a generous afternoon snack for the children will be served, during which the winners of a raffle held for the occasion will be announced.
Hope to see you there in force!
