Science Night at MuAM – Museum of Arts and Crafts!
Get ready for an explosive mix where top chefs and scientists pool their talents to shake up your senses and spark your curiosity throughout the evening. Here, you won’t just watch: you’ll experiment, handle, taste, test… and become an active participant in science right in the heart of our collections!
On the menu: brain-tingling quizzes, culinary demonstrations, and encounters designed to challenge your preconceptions. Science leaves the lab and heads to the kitchen for an experience that is as tasty as it is astonishing!

In the kitchen… and in the lab! In the evening, four pairs of chefs and scientists invite you to an experience that’s as delicious as it is surprising. Through interactive performances, rediscover cooking through the lens of science and let the secrets of “Savory Science” (Saveurs savantes) surprise you. On the menu: insects, chili peppers… and many more discoveries!

Take a seat, the show begins! Under the spotlight, researchers share their passion for “Savours savantes” through original formats:

Time for exchanges! In a more intimate setting, scientists and the public take time to discuss, debate, and share ideas through mini-conferences. Throughout the weekend, more than a dozen research organizations, labs, and partners fill museum spaces to showcase their projects, innovations, and the people behind research. From the ground floor to the church, meet disciplines as varied as computer science, virtual reality, chemistry, botany, and quantum physics. Young and old are invited to handle, experiment, play, and chat with scientists for an immersive, hands-on encounter with today’s research.

For the Festival of Science, the museum becomes a giant laboratory of discovery for visitors of all ages. At every turn, you’ll find hands-on workshops, surprising demonstrations to try… and unexpected flavors to taste! Two days to share and learn, with inspiring encounters and engaging exchanges alongside scientists from all walks of life, in a festive, high-energy atmosphere.

- 3 conference-demos from CNRS’s Unexpected Escapes on olfaction, alchemy, and wine, plus musical instrument showcases
- A “carte blanche” for Naïm Khan, an Inserm physiologist, exploring the taste of fat (Saturday only)
- The awards ceremony for Réponse Photo’s science photo contest (Saturday only)
- A live Top Santé program, presented by Inserm: “The Mechanics of Taste: why do we love what we eat and how do our dietary choices affect our health and our planet?” (Sunday only)
