For the All Saints' vacation period, from October 18 to November 2, 2025, the Château de Vaux-le-Vicomte is focusing on a family program with costumed tours, fun activities and immersive trails.
Located less than an hour from Paris, the Château de Vaux-le-Vicomte, a true 17th-century masterpiece, is the perfect place for a family outing just outside Paris! Young visitors can discover the incredible architecture of the dome, the painted decorations by Charles Le Brun, and the immense French gardens designed by landscape gardener André Le Nôtre.
For the All Saints' vacation period, from October 18 to November 2, 2025, the château is offering children princess and musketeer costumes for an unforgettable costumed tour, free of charge for children. Adults wishing to dress up can do so too, for a small fee. Ready for a visit? Let's get started!




Throughout the year, the Château de Vaux-le-Vicomte organizes a variety of events to showcase its history and architecture, while inspiring us to dream. The monument is particularly famous for its candlelit evenings in summer, and its sumptuous Christmas decorations.
During the All Saints' Day vacations, the château offers a completely different atmosphere. Children and their parents are invited to take part in fun activities and tours that plunge us into a mysterious and magical atmosphere, perfect for this season!

- Secret de Familles - An immersive theatrical tour
Stroll through the candlelit chateau, meet the guardians of time and try to preserve the treasure that has been carefully guarded by the castle's families for centuries. The castle's halls become the scene of a captivating intrigue: a mysterious brotherhood of Time Plunderers is wreaking havoc by stealing treasures across the ages. The Guardians of Time are on their trail, trying to preserve history, but the dean has just been murdered... In this immersive show, the audience leads the investigation, foils the traps and discovers the secret of Vaux.
30€ for adults / 20€ for children (under 18). This ticket includes access to the garden and animation, but does not include a visit to the château.

- Carnival of the Animals
It's a catastrophe! All the castle's animals have disappeared, and it's up to you to find them with the help of our actress! Pay close attention, and you'll realize that there are animals everywhere: in paintings, frescoes, tapestries, porcelain, sculptures, statues and more. To avoid frightening them away, it's best to camouflage yourself so as to look like them; so, dressed in a Venetian cape, children will go and surprise them, explaining their presence...

In the heart of Vaux-le-Vicomte's Bosquet de la Patte d'Oie, a cultural walk invites you to delve into the fascinating mystery of the prisoner in the iron mask. This immersive trail leads young and old through a 17th-century vaulted underground passageway and past hidden springs in the heart of the forest. At each stage, scenographic displays illustrate the many theories surrounding the identity of this enigmatic prisoner. As you move along, you'll discover a succession of scenes, gradually leading up to the final revelation. Was he a secret brother of the Sun King? Fouquet himself? An embarrassing witness? Take off with your family or friends and enjoy a new reading of the estate's history!

Immersed in a sound play, you'll witness the death of Mazarin, the plot hatched by Colbert and Louis XIV against Fouquet, the sumptuous party with Molière, La Fontaine and Vatel, and d'Artagnan's arrest of Nicolas Fouquet...
