July 14 is the not-to-be-missed event of the summer! France's towns and cities organize a wide range of activities to celebrate the Fête Nationale and the storming of the Bastille in a festive, fun-filled event for the whole family! In the Île-de-France region, all the départements are getting in on the act, joining the fireworks display at the Eiffel Tower to light up the region's skies. To keep you busy in the meantime, you can count on picnics, popular balls and other concerts set up just about everywhere, especially in the Val d'Oise !
This year, the town of Taverny celebrates July 14th the day before, with a big day of festivities for all residents. On July 13, 2023, the Parc François Mitterrand and its surroundings will be the venue for a Fête Nationale dance party, with music to keep you moving all evening and a concert by "Lemon Jam", a jazz, bossa and ballad group. As for the lights, there's a lovely pyrotechnic show on the theme of Romanesque cinema, followed by a firemen's ball.
In the Val d'Oise, you're spoilt for choice for a stroll before the evening begins: if you fancy a trip around the Godard pond or through the Forêt Domaniale de Montmorency, you've come to the right place!
Food trucks will also be on hand, offering burgers and other delicacies from 8pm onwards!
