Fête Nationale in Savigny-le-Temple (77): picnic, dance and entertainment

Fête Nationale is fast approaching, with its celebrations commemorating the storming of the Bastille and the French Revolution. If you live in the Seine-et-Marne region, why not celebrate the republic in Savigny-le-Temple, where there's plenty to do to mark the occasion, including a picnic and a DJ dance party! From 5 p.m. on July 13, 2023, we'll be setting down our gear for the evening in the grounds of Domaine de la Grange - la Prévôté.

The town's aim is to offer a family-friendly celebration of citizenship and the themes of liberty, equality and fraternity, with a republican picnic in the château grounds. You'll be able to eat on site thanks to the various food-trucks (paella, burger/frites, ice-cream parlour), but you can also bring your own meal.

Don't forget your plaid if it's chilly! There will be no fireworks, due to the proximity of the forests, but there will be plenty of entertainment, including balloon sculpture, an ephemeral tattoo stand, a fluorescent walk accompanied by percussion instruments for children, a batucada and an orchestra, all with a cinema theme! As soon as the sun goes down, it's off to light up the dancefloor with a DJ dance party.

Please note: a prefectoral decree concerning fire protection in areas within 200 meters of woods and forests in Seine-et-Marne is currently in force. It formally prohibits the carrying or lighting of fires, including fireworks and bonfires, in the areas concerned. As the Domaine de la Grange-la-Prévôté is located in the immediate vicinity of the Rougeau forest, this restriction applies in particular to the evening of July 13. The pyrotechnic show originally planned will therefore not be held.

On this public holiday, we're also taking the opportunity to discover the town of Savigny-le-Temple, with its Théâtre de Sénart not far away, and the huge Koezio complex, for fun with all the family, before a memorable evening.
