On the occasion of the Fête Nationale, let's discover the traces of the French Revolution in the streets of Paris.

The Fête Nationale is fast approaching. It's an opportunity to celebrate this major event with friends and family, enjoying a Republican picnic, dancing the night away at a firemen's ball, and of course looking up to admire the many fireworks displays that will be lighting up the skies on July 13 and 14.

But the Fête Nationale is also an opportunity to recall the origins of July 14th, and to delve back into the great History of France and the storming of the Bastille in 1789! In Paris, many monuments, squares, churches and gardens still bear traces of the French Revolution, and it's easy to wander the streets for a day or two in search of these testimonies to the past.
