Every year, France is in party mode as July 14 approaches. Not surprising, since it marks the National Day. For this special day, the whole country steps into the tradition-filled celebration routine. In turn, bals populaires, torch-lit processions, feux d'artifice and other festive moments blossom across the country. Paris grabs the spotlight by hosting the famous military parade on the Champs-Élysées (exceptionally moved this year to the Avenue Foch), while in the evening, an iconic fireworks display illuminates the Eiffel Tower. If the City of Light goes all out for the National Day, the surrounding region is not short on imagination, and numerous Île-de-France towns unveil beautiful animations across Île-de-France.
If you're in the Seine-Saint-Denis regionand want to find out what's in store for you, we'd like to take you to Clichy-sous-Bois. This commune to the east of the capital is the second greenest town in the département, and with good reason: it borders the Bondy forest and the Parc Départemental de la Fosse-Maussoin, located in former quarries, and is home to the Belle-Vue park and the Coulée Verte de l'aqueduc de la Dhuis. Enough to inspire walkers in search of a green stroll!
At Clichy-sous-bois, for the Fête Nationale, the town invites you to gather at dusk to enjoy the traditional fireworks display! A Firefighters' Ball is also on the program at the Clichy-sous-Bois Fire Station.
