July 14th Fête Nationale in Athis-Mons (91): fireworks and firemen's ball in "ski" mode

It's one of the highlights of the summer: July 14 marks the Fête Nationale in France, and for the occasion there's plenty of entertainment on the program all over the country. Among the festivities you won't want to miss are the popular balls, the firemen's balls and the fireworks displays that criss-cross the sky!

In Paris, people flock to the Champs-Elysées avenue to watch the military parade, while at nightfall, a sublime fireworks show awaits us at the Eiffel Tower. While the City of Light is determined to make its mark on the Fête Nationale, the surrounding region is not to be outdone, with a fine program of events spread over July 13 and 14, 2025. South of Paris, in the Essonne region, the town of Athis-Mons is also in the mood for a party! Renowned for its Neolithic remains and its many cultural and heritage sites, the town is preparing to host a memorable and fun-filled July 14th. This year, the town's theme is "skiing and mountains", in homage to the cult film Les Bronzés font du ski. Get out your best down jacket and get dancing! So, are you ready to attend the celebrations? The program for the Fête Nationale 2024 in Athis-Mons :

• Get your moonboots and ski poles ready, this year we're "skiing in July"!
  On Saturday July 13, the town pays tribute to "Les Bronzés font du ski" with a festive evening in the colors of the mountains. Starting at 7pm, a firemen's ball will be held at the Jean-Claude Lajoie rescue center, followed by a film-themed fireworks display at 11:30pm in front of the town hall, and a return to the (dance) floor for the most motivated!
  Free and open to all.
  • 7:00 p.m.: firemen's ball at the Jean-Claude Lajoie rescue center.
  • 11.30pm: fireworks display in front of the town hall.
  • Then back to the firemen's ball for the motivated.
