This Thursday, July 13 and Friday, July 14, most of France's communes are decked out in their finest to celebrate the Fête nationale. Every year, France celebrates the end of the monarchy and the storming of the Bastille on July 14, 1789, and the Fête de la Fédération on the same day in 1790. Traditionally, a military parade takes place on the Champs-Elysées avenue in Paris, and all towns organize a popular ball and fireworks display.
And this year, Sucy-en-Brie will be taking part! The Val-de-Marne town is planning a packed program, free to all, for residents and visitors alike, to ensure an unforgettable evening.
Firemen's ball from 9pm at the rescue center.
Flambeaux distribution at 10pm (rue Antoine Baron entrance) and fireworksdisplay at 11pm in Parc du Morbras.
