Every year, France marks the occasion of July 14th. Not surprising, since it's the country's national holiday! During this public holiday, the four corners of the country come alive to the rhythm of traditional celebrations, including fireworks displays, pyrotechnic shows of all kinds, popular balls, firemen's balls, torchlight processions and other festive events. A summer highlight not to be missed!
In Paris, the festivities include an impressive military parade and an iconic fireworks display from the Eiffel Tower, no less! And while the City of Light is sure to attract plenty of attention, the rest of the region is also in the thick of the festivities! All over the Ile-de-France region, numerous towns and cities unveil a festive program for the Fête Nationale, generally spread over July 13 and 14. For some, it's an opportunity to enjoy the celebrations close to home, while for others it's a chance to discover the treasures of the Paris region.
The Seine-Saint-Denis region is no exception, with a host of events to delight young and old alike. One example is the town of Gagny, which is also taking part in the festivities! If you're in this commune of 93, you can take advantage of the opportunity to stroll along the Dhuis aqueduct or admire the Bois de l'Étoile arboretum!
The Bastille Day Program for 2026 in Gagny, Seine-Saint-Denis (93)
Gagny marks France’s national day each year with a morning patriotic ceremony and a fireworks display in the evening.
The Time for Remembrance
At 11 a.m., the official ceremony will open this special day. This moment of reflection will honor those who have contributed to the country’s history and will help pass on to the younger generations the meaning of commitment and citizenship.
To extend this commemorative spirit, a photo exhibition set up on Place Foch will spotlight the people who keep local memory alive: standard-bearers, veterans, elected officials, and volunteers dedicated to transmitting republican values.
The Guinguette Spirit
From 6:30 p.m., the mood will shift. Place Foch will transform into a true festival space as the guinguette opens its doors. It will be a chance to share a drink, enjoy a good meal, catch up with friends or family, and soak in a mellow summer evening in the town center.
Time for Dancing
From 8:30 p.m. onward, the dance floor will come alive with the evening’s music. Whether you’re there for a few steps or to dance late into the night, everyone can share a festive, intergenerational moment in a welcoming atmosphere.
Stars in Your Eyes
At 11 p.m., the Gabinienne sky will light up with the traditional fireworks. A highlight of the celebration, this luminous show will bring the evening to a close and offer spectators a moment of shared emotion.
