The town of Montmorency is expecting you again this year to celebrate its national holiday with fireworks on Sunday, July 13, 2025, as well as the unmissable Fête du Bœuf on July 14. This festive day in the Val d'Oise also includes a popular festival and entertainment. A great way to spend time with friends and family!

This Monday, July 14, France celebrates its national holiday. Every year, this event delights young and old alike with its military parade down the Champs-Elysées, its popular dances and its inevitable fireworks displays across France. In the Île-de-France region, many communes celebrate the Fête Nationale with their own events on July 13th, July 14th or both.

And the town of Montmorency is no exception to the rule! Every year, the Val d'Oise town celebrates the Bastille Day with a very special program. Yes, it's the only place where you can enjoy the traditional Fête du Bœuf, which takes place every year in the town on July 14th. But that's not all. The day before, the town organizes several events for the whole family, including the unmissable fireworks display, which can be admired from the Parc des Sports Nelson Mandela.

The Fête nationale program in Montmorency :

  • 9:15pm: Torchlight procession
    Departure from the mare aux Champeaux
    We invite you to take part in the torchlight procession from the mare aux Champeaux to the Parc des Sports Nelson Mandela. LED lanterns will be distributed free of charge to children.

  • 10:45 pm: Fireworks
    Parc des Sports Nelson Mandela, chemin de la Butte-aux-Pères (entrance A)
    The traditional fireworks display will light up the Montmorency sky at 11 pm, followed by an evening of dancing. Join us at 8.30pm at the Parc des Sports Nelson Mandela for a pyrotechnic and musical show that will blow your mind!
    Free shuttles departing from the town hall parking lot (rue Théophile-Vacher) will be available from 9pm.

But the entertainment doesn't stop there! Join us the following day, from 12 noon, for the Fête du Bœuf in the Parc de la Serve this time. All afternoon long, come and enjoy delicious beef cooked on a spit, with a gourmet lunch platter and French fries. For dessert, enjoy a cherry cake, all for the price of 6 euros! Lots of musical and gourmet entertainment await you, until 6 p.m.!
