As Christmas approaches, Parislights up, it's the perfect time to discover the Department Store windows, go to the Ice Rink or take a tour of the many Christmas Markets in the capital. On the weekend of Saturday, December 1 and Sunday, December 2, 2018, come and discover A Christmas in Norway, the Norwegian Christmas Market installed this year at Elephant Paname in the 2nd arrondissement.
Come and meet Norwegian producers who offer various culinary specialties (salmon, moose sausage, cheese, beers, aquavit, ...) from the great cold as well as hand-knitted wools, handmade jewelry, eco-responsible design objects ... all made by Norwegian artists.
You also have the possibility to have lunch on the spot. The opportunity to taste a selection of homemade cakes, cinnamon rolls, Norwegian waffles without forgetting to sip the famous mulled wine, the Gløgg.
In short, if you are looking for original ideas for your Christmas gifts, this is the place to go, you will find products that you will not find anywhere else, unless you go to Norway.
The best part? The Norwegian Christmas Market will host both days a Christmas concert at 4pm with the soprano Laila Thortveit. Note that the concert will be charged (12 €) and is to be booked here.
And to avoid queuing as in previous years, the Norwegian Christmas market has set up this year a ticketing system, where you select your time of entry (between 12 and 1pm for example). This pre-booking costs 3€ and is not mandatory, but it will save you time on the day!
