In December, come and celebrate the most wonderfulChristmaswith your family inFontainebleau, close tothefamouscastle! This year, the town will be transformed into an enchanted Christmas village with wonderful entertainment for the whole family to discover, from December 12 to 28, 2025.
Head to the Christmas market to shop for local goods, filled with artisanal treasures and winter delicacies, including chocolate and mulled wine. There will be plenty of free entertainment for the whole family, with the chance to meet the famous Santa Claus and give him your gift list!
Put on your hats and come have fun at the Christmas village, surrounded by winter decorations. Experience the thrill of sledding with your family on a specially designed sledding hill, or hop aboard a miniature train, not to mention the lantern descent! Don't forget to look up and admire the city's decorations throughout the month of December.
From December 12 to 14, immerse yourself in the magic of the holidays with the traditional Christmas market set up on Place de la République and in the courtyard of City Hall. With a theme of Santa's toy factory, let yourself be seduced by the gourmet stands, handcrafted creations, decorations, and entertainment for the whole family.
From December 12 to 14, explore the solidarity trail made up of local charities, which connects the two Christmas market sites: Place de la République and the courtyard of the Town Hall. It's a great opportunity to plan your holiday gifts while supporting a good cause!
On Saturday, December 13, come and take part in the grand lantern parade at 5:30 p.m. The event will end with a bang with the Zygos Brass Band on Place de la République, followed by refreshments (mulled wine, hot chocolate, cookies, marshmallows, etc.).
From December 20 to 28, Place de la République will be transformed into a playground and creative space to extend the festive season! On the program: creative workshops, fun games, and a host of activities to delight young and old alike (sledding, digital wall, mini train, and even a visit from Santa Claus!).
We'll also be celebrating Christmas at the château, with special shows and walks!
