As is the case throughout France, the Loubavitch movement from the Hauts-de-Seine region will once again be hosting public Hanukkah menorah lightings in numerous towns to celebrate the Jewish festival of Hanukkah. In 2025, Hanukkah falls from December 14 to December 21, and true to tradition, Jews around the world will light a new candle on the famous Hanukkah menorah each evening. The 92 department is one of the few in the Ile-de-France region to offer public lighting every day it's possible, i.e. all week long, except Fridays, when the entrance to Shabbat prevents the event.
