Christmas 2025 at the Poissy Toy Museum: Christmas carols, hot chocolate, and creative workshops (78)

Christmas is coming early this year at the Toy Museum in Poissy, in the Yvelines department, from December 10 to 24, 2025! A special program awaits families for the holiday season, with wonderful activities to discover at this unusual museum in Île-de-France, which is perfect for Christmas, because what could be better than toys for beautiful gifts under the tree?

Christmas in Toyland is an opportunity to take advantage of the museum's creative workshops, by reservation, to learn how to make your own Christmas tree decorations, Christmas wreath, or string of lights. You can also watch the Christmas trees being lit up, enjoy a show featuring jazzy and gospel Christmas carols, take guided tours exploring Christmas traditions from here and elsewhere, and meet Father Christmas, Saint Nicholas, and letters to Father Christmas written by children in the 1900s, which will be on display in the permanent collections throughout December.

On the program

• Christmas carol concert - December 10 at 5:30 p.m., 6:30 p.m., and 7:30 p.m.

The Christmas Mademoiselles trio will sweep you up in the magic of the holidays as they perform traditional Christmas carols with a jazzy, swing-inspired twist while strolling through the museum.

• Lighting the Christmas trees - December 17 at 6 p.m.

Lighting ceremony for the Christmas trees decorated by classes from Poissy schools, followed by a gospel concert by the Totally Gospel association.

• Christmas tours - December 20 and 23 at 3 p.m.

Discover Christmas traditions from here and elsewhere through toys, followed by a chocolate tasting.

• Christmas storytelling tour - December 24 at 10 a.m.

After warming up with a cup of hot chocolate, explore the museum's collections while listening to the adventures of Tomy the teddy bear.

• Christmas tree decorations (ages 4-6) - Wednesday, December 10 at 10 a.m.

While waiting for Santa Claus, children will make decorations to hang on the Christmas tree to adorn it in its finest attire.

• Christmas wreath (ages 7-12) - December 17 at 10 a.m.

Using decorative hole punches and colored paper, create a pretty wreath to decorate your front door on Christmas Eve.

• String of lights (children aged 7-14, accompanied by an adult) - December 23 at 10 a.m.

Make an origami light garland.
